Lost in surfing

So I guess I learned yesterday that it is really easy to get lost in internet land just looking for fun tatting patterns and reading lots of cool peoples blogs. I kind of got lost in it and before long I look up and the day is almost over. I did find lots of patterns I want to try so I guess it wasnt a completely wasted day.  So far I have just been needle tatting but so many of the awesome patterns I have been running across are shuttle patterns including lots of 2 shuttle patterns. I am not sure how to find out if a pattern will work with needle tatting and it kind of feels like it could take years to figure this out. I actually tried to tat a shamrock late last night that was a shuttle pattern but it didn't work out so well. So I think I have made up my mind that I need to try shuttle tatting. I haven't been able to find any shuttles to buy here in my area ( in fact I ended up ordering my needles on line) but there are so many different shuttles available that I would really like to look at them in person.  I am pretty motivated about learning all I can about tatting so I will probably end up just ordering some shuttles online.
I have spent most of the morning fighting computer issues. I am afraid that I may have picked up a virus or some such nasty thing by doing all the surfing I have been doing lately or worse I may have picked up something by starting this blog. I sure hope not so please wish me luck!!

    1. Where are you? Hobby Lobby and JoAnns have shuttles if they're near you.

    1. Thanks so much for the suggestion Jane. I did notice that the font is kind of hard to read even though it looks fun. I will see if I can figure out how to change it.
